Ken Robinson’s TED talk: Are schools killing creativity?
In February 2006, Ken Robinson, a Brit now living on the other side of the pond, gave a passionate talk on TED about how schools are now not catering to the abilities and capabilities of a large number of their population. Discussions on this talk continue and many of the points he makes are as relevant, perhaps even more so, today, as they were four years ago when the talk was first given.
At the heart of this talk lies the concept that our education systems, not only in the UK, have tried to pigeon-hole and shoebox children to fit a certain mould and that this mould simply cannot be a one-size fits all.
What do you think?
