Video Editing & Content Repurposing
Turn existing footage into polished, reusable digital content
A single interview, webinar, presentation or recorded discussion can contain far more useful content than one finished video. Xelium provides professional video editing, post-production and content repurposing services, helping organisations transform existing footage into high-quality content for websites, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other digital channels.
We can take a single recording and develop it into a complete content package: a polished long-form video, shorter topic-led films, vertical social clips, captions, branded graphics and an organised video library ready for publication. Our approach combines editing, editorial judgement, content strategy and digital publishing. We do not simply shorten footage. We identify what the material contains, how it can be structured and how different parts can work for different audiences, platforms and purposes.

Professional Video Editing & Post-Production
Transform raw footage into a clear, polished final video
Recorded material rarely arrives ready to publish. There may be multiple camera angles, separate audio recordings, pauses, repetition, uneven sound, lengthy interviewer questions or sections that need to be reordered to improve the flow. We edit the material around the audience experience while retaining the speaker’s natural voice and the substance of what they are saying.
Our video post-production work can include:
- Multi-camera editing and camera-angle selection
- Audio and video enhancement
- Synchronisation of separately recorded audio and video
- Editorial restructuring and content mapping
- Removal of repetition, pauses and unnecessary conversation
- Title, headline, topic and question cards
- Branded intros, outros and graphic treatments
- B-roll, supporting imagery and licensed stock footage where required
- Voiceovers and narration
- Captions and subtitles
- Vertical reframing and short-form edits
- Calls to action, links and interactive elements where supported
- Final formatting and export for different platforms
The objective is not to make the editing conspicuous. It is to create a video that feels clear, coherent and purposeful.
A. Interview Video Editing
Make long conversations easier to watch and easier to use
Interviews are particularly well suited to professional editing and content repurposing. A long conversation may contain several distinct stories, questions and subject areas. In its original form, however, the viewer may have to watch for 30 or 40 minutes to find the information that matters to them. We can review the complete interview, identify its strongest themes and restructure the footage around them.
Lengthy or poorly recorded interviewer questions can be removed and replaced with concise on-screen question cards. Multiple cameras can be used to create visual variation and disguise editorial cuts. Audio can be enhanced and balanced, and longer answers can be tightened without losing the meaning or personality of the speaker.
The result can be both a polished complete interview and a source for a much wider collection of content.

B. Long-Form to Short-Form Video
Create more content from the recording you already have
Long-form content often contains multiple pieces of valuable short-form content. An hour-long webinar, interview or presentation may include individual explanations, stories, answers and observations that can work independently. We analyse the source material and identify the sections that can become useful standalone content.
A single recording might become a full-length feature video, several topic-led videos, short answers to frequently asked questions and a collection of vertical social-media clips. Each piece serves a different purpose. A long-form video can provide depth. A standalone topic video can answer a specific question. A 30–60 second vertical clip can introduce an idea to someone encountering the organisation for the first time.
This allows the same original recording to work across several stages of the audience experience rather than being published once and forgotten.

C. Social Media & Vertical Video
Adapt content for the way audiences watch on different platforms
A landscape video does not automatically become effective short-form content simply by cropping it vertically. Short-form video needs to establish context quickly and give the viewer a reason to continue watching.
We can identify strong opening moments, restructure material where necessary and prepare clips specifically for vertical viewing. Social video can include hook-led titles, on-screen captions, question overlays, highlighted phrases, branded graphic treatments and a clear closing action.
Content can be prepared for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, with the format and presentation adapted to the way the content is likely to be consumed.
D. Audio Enhancement
Clearer speech makes better video
Poor audio can undermine otherwise strong footage. Where source recordings allow, we can improve speech through noise reduction, equalisation, volume balancing, level smoothing, peak control and synchronisation of separately recorded audio. This can be particularly valuable when interviews have been recorded using different microphones or where one speaker is noticeably quieter than another.
Audio enhancement does have practical limits, especially where a recording contains significant echo, reverberation or background noise. Our aim is therefore to improve clarity while retaining a natural voice rather than over-processing the recording.
E. Branded Video Graphics
Give a collection of videos a consistent identity
When several videos are created from the same project, a consistent visual system helps them feel like part of one series. We can create branded title treatments, question cards, topic cards, lower thirds, chapter graphics, opening and closing screens, typography systems and calls to action.
These assets can then be carried across long-form videos, standalone edits and social clips. This creates a recognisable content series rather than a collection of unrelated video files.
F. Captions & Subtitles
Captions support accessibility, comprehension and audiences watching without sound. We can prepare and review captions for both long-form and short-form video, including corrections to automatically generated transcripts.
This is particularly useful for specialist and educational content, where names, terminology and technical vocabulary are often incorrectly interpreted by automatic transcription systems. For short-form social content, captions can also form part of the visual treatment rather than being added only as a technical subtitle track.
Library, Publishing & Distribution
Turn finished videos into an organised content library
Creating the videos is only part of the process. Once several assets exist, they need to be organised, named, published and connected so that audiences can find the right content and move naturally between related material. Xelium can support the process from finished edit through to publication.
A. Video Library & Channel Organisation
We can plan the structure of a video library, organise YouTube channels and playlists, establish consistent naming conventions and decide how full-length, standalone and short-form videos relate to one another. Short clips can be connected with longer versions of the same subject, while related videos can be grouped into coherent series or playlists. The aim is to avoid ending up with a collection of disconnected uploads.
B. Video Optimisation & Accessibility
For each video, we can prepare search-focused titles, descriptions, metadata, keywords and supporting copy. Long-form content can be divided into manual chapters to make it easier to navigate, while captions can be reviewed for accuracy and accessibility. We can also prepare thumbnail and cover-image treatments, end screens and related-video links so that viewers have clear routes to continue watching.
C. Publishing & Platform Preparation
We can upload and prepare videos for publication on YouTube and other agreed platforms. Short-form material can be formatted for YouTube Shorts and social channels, with appropriate captions, hashtags and accompanying post copy. Where required, we can also support publishing and scheduling across relevant social-media platforms.
D. Audience Journey & Conversion
Video content works best when it connects with the rest of the organisation’s digital presence. We can link videos to relevant website pages, services, courses, products or supporting resources and create clear calls to action for viewers who want to know more. Short-form clips can lead to standalone topic videos, longer films or relevant website content.
A structured video collection can therefore become part of a wider audience journey:
Discovery → Video → Related Content → Website → Enquiry, Enrolment or Action

E. YouTube Content Optimisation
Make video easier to discover, navigate and connect
YouTube can be more than a place to host completed videos. For organisations producing educational, professional or specialist content, a structured YouTube library can become an important part of the wider digital presence. We can help plan how the content is presented, how videos are titled and described, how playlists are organised and how viewers move between related videos.
For longer videos, chapters can provide direct access to specific subjects. End screens can point towards related material. Descriptions can direct viewers towards relevant pages on the organisation’s website. The objective is not simply to maximise views. It is to help the right audience discover useful content and understand what to do next.
Content Repurposing as an Editorial Process
Content repurposing is not simply a matter of cutting a long video into equal sections.
- A useful standalone video needs a clear subject and enough context to make sense independently.
- A social clip needs a strong beginning and a complete idea.
- A longer video needs structure and navigation.
During the editing process, we consider what can stand alone, what requires additional context, where a natural beginning and ending occurs and which material is most useful for different audiences. This editorial approach allows the strongest ideas within a recording to be used without weakening or misrepresenting the original content.
More: From One Interview to 24 Video Assets
Our approach is applied to many forms of existing video and recorded content. This might include webinars, presentations, panel discussions, conferences, training sessions, course introductions, customer interviews, expert commentary, professional-development material, demonstrations and recorded online events.
You may already have a valuable content library hidden within footage that has never been edited or has only ever been published in its original long-form format. Contact us to discuss how this can be repurposed to increase its visibility and maximise its impact.
For Knowledge-Led Organisations
Our video editing and content repurposing service is particularly suited to organisations where expertise and information are central to what they do. This includes education and training providers, universities and colleges, professional and regulatory organisations, public-sector bodies, charities, membership organisations, consultancies and professional-services businesses.
We are comfortable working with detailed, technical and specialist material. Our role is to make that material easier to watch, navigate and discover without stripping away the substance that makes it valuable.
Our Approach to Video
Xelium approaches video as part of a wider digital system. A finished video may need to support a website, promote a course, demonstrate expertise, answer a prospective client’s question or generate material for a social campaign.
Because our work spans web design and development, digital learning, content creation, user experience and digital publishing, we can consider what happens before and after the edit.
We can take a project from Source Footage through Editing & Enhancement to Content Repurposing then Library & Publication and finally Audience Discovery & Action. That means the output is not simply a set of video files. It is digital content designed to have a purpose.
Already Have Footage?
You do not necessarily need another filming session to create more video content. You may already have interviews, webinars, presentations or recordings containing valuable material that can be edited, enhanced and repurposed. Send us your existing footage and tell us what you want the content to achieve. We can review the material and recommend how it could be transformed into long-form video, standalone content, social-media clips and a structured digital video library.
